Take Action! Prevent and Control Diabetes. The Eastern Washington Diabetes Network is dedicated to raising community awareness about diabetes prevention and control while working toward reducing morbidity and mortality rates throughout the region. The network spans 10 counties and is comprised of over 90 researchers, clinicians, disease managers, health administrators, educators, public health workers and social service workers who are committed to implementing activities in keeping with the Washington State Diabetes Plan.
- Increase diabetes awareness and share prevention strategies with communities throughout Eastern Washington
- Strengthen the internal network of health care providers, researchers, educators and other community professionals committed to fighting the disease
- Increase awareness of self-management strategies among health care providers and patients alike
